- Syntax
- --niji <version number>
What it does
The --niji parameter selects the Niji model, purpose-built for anime, manga, and illustrative aesthetics. It handles dynamic poses, expressive characters, and stylised scenes differently from the default Midjourney model, and it pairs with style settings for looks like cute or expressive.
Niji is a separate model line, so it is chosen instead of --v, not alongside it. For illustration and anime work it often produces stronger results than the general model at the same prompt.
Examples
a hero in a storm --niji 6Anime-styled rendering from the Niji model.
a cheerful mascot --niji 6 --style cuteNiji with a style preset applied.
Common mistakes
- Combining --niji with --v — they select different models.
- Expecting default-model realism from an anime-tuned model.
- Overlooking that Niji supports its own style presets.
